Role overview

About the Role Our client is a growing, forward-looking renewable energy company specialising in developing wind, solar PV, and battery storage projects. They are seeking a Project Developer to join their team and play a key role in planning and delivering energy infrastructure projects while contributing to the transition to sustainable energy.

Requirements

What We Are Looking For University degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field: regional / urban / environmental / landscape planning, geography, engineering, law, or similar. Several years proven experience in project development - ideally within renewables or infrastructure / energy projects. Good understanding of relevant planning, environmental and building law; or willingness to learn these quickly. Strong commercial and legal awareness, and ability to integrate technical, financial and regulatory aspects. Excellent communication skills and fluency in German (written & spoken). Flexibility to travel occasionally for on-site visits. Structured, independent working style and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Develop energy projects from site identification / land acquisition through to permitting (e.g. environmental / building permit laws) and - depending on project - support through to commissioning. Assess potential project sites and create optimised layouts for wind turbines, solar PV arrays, or battery storage facilities. Prepare and manage permit applications under relevant legislation, coordinate with regulatory authorities. Commission and manage third-party consultants (e.g. environmental / soil / planning consultants) and collaborate with external planners / construction contractors. Develop project schedules and budgets; monitor costs and manage contractual documents (public- and private-law contracts). Liaise with stakeholders including government/regulatory bodies, private landowners, community representatives, and project partners. Ensure project compliance with legal, environmental, and planning standards, and manage documentation throughout project lifecycle.
