We are growing our EHS structure as part of SDSE (Europe), global business growth. Therefore, we are looking for an Senior EHS Country Specialist (m/f/d).
Requirements
Bachelor or Master's Degree in Engineering or Science with a focus on safety paired with "Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit" certification
4-5 years experience in the Logistics field
Experience in implementing and managing safety systems, conducting risk assessments, and delivering training
Native or fluent German, and English B2 level
Knowledge on Country compliance including the relevant EUOSHA directives
Experience in establishing safety management program at site level and country level
Knowledge of relevant safety standards, such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001 Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and specific safety requirements of the logistics and warehousing industry
Responsibilities
Implement safety and health activities in accordance with national regulations and SDS Standards / Policies
Support risk assessment, management and control practices at the workplaces
Provide advice to management on the steps required to be taken for the occupational safety and health of the employees and contractors
Coordinate and support the EHS Committee and H&S officers per locations
Support initial response and reporting in case of an accident and conduct investigation with sites Teams
Inspect and ensure the proper use of work attire, protective equipment and safety devices for affiliated workers
Perform other tasks necessary to ensure the safety and health of affiliated workers like inspections, trainings etc.
Willingness to travel throughout Germany (20%)
